By accessing, downloading, installing, registering for, or otherwise using our platform (website, mobile application, or any related service), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform.
MyLagosApp is a digital city-guide and community platform developed, owned, and operated by Paperworks First Real Nigeria Limited (referred to as “the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company incorporated under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with its registered office at 13, Olu-Akerele Street, Ikeja, Lagos. Nigeria.
MyLagosApp provides Lagosians and visitors with access to real-time traffic updates, security alerts, trending news, tourism and events information, job listings, local market directories, business listings, transport ordering, and other features designed to improve daily life in Lagos.
By creating an account, downloading the application, or using any part of the MyLagosApp platform, you enter into a legally binding contract with Paperworks First Real Nigeria Limited. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional feature-specific guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. Continued use of the platform after publication of revised Terms constitutes your binding acceptance of those changes.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use MyLagosApp. If you are between 13 and 17, you may only use the platform with verifiable parental or guardian consent and supervision.
By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, are not prohibited from using the platform under any applicable law, and that all registration information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
To access certain features, you must register and maintain an active account. You agree to: provide accurate registration information; keep your profile current; maintain the strict confidentiality of your login credentials; never share your credentials with any third party; and immediately notify us at info@mylagosapp.mobi of any suspected unauthorised access to your account.
You are solely responsible for all activities conducted through your account. The Company is not liable for any loss arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials or from any unauthorised access resulting from your negligence. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account we believe has been compromised or is being misused.
You agree to use MyLagosApp solely for lawful, legitimate purposes in a manner consistent with these Terms, applicable law, and the rights and safety of other users and third parties.
You expressly agree not to engage in any of the following:
Violations may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to the Nigeria Police Force, EFCC, or NITDA.
All content, materials, and technology on MyLagosApp — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, software code, and the overall design — are the exclusive intellectual property of Paperworks First Real Nigeria Limited or its authorised licensors, protected by Nigerian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The “MyLagosApp” name, brand, and logo are trademarks of Paperworks First Real Nigeria Limited. You may not use any trademark of the Company without prior written consent.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free licence to access and use the platform for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only. This licence does not include the right to sell, reproduce, modify, frame, or use data-mining tools on the platform. Any unauthorised use terminates this licence. We actively enforce our intellectual property rights.
Where you submit content (traffic reports, security alerts, news tips, reviews, comments, photos, etc. — collectively “User Content”), you:
The Company does not endorse, verify, or vouch for the accuracy of User Content. Reliance on User Content — including traffic and security data — is entirely at your own risk.
MyLagosApp integrates with third-party platforms including Google Maps, Google Play Store, Apple App Store, BlackBerry World, Microsoft Store, and others. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services, or for any loss arising from your use of them.
By enabling push notifications, you consent to receive real-time alerts including traffic updates, security alerts, news, and service communications. You may withdraw consent at any time through your device or application settings. You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time by contacting us at info@mylagosapp.mobi.
Certain features require access to your device’s location data. By enabling location services for MyLagosApp, you consent to the collection and use of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy. You may disable location access through your device settings at any time, though this may limit certain features.
THE MYLAGOSAPP PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT, INFORMATION, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAPERWORKS FIRST REAL NIGERIA LIMITED EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE, AND THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION (INCLUDING TRAFFIC AND SECURITY DATA) ON THE PLATFORM.
Real-time data is sourced from user contributions and third-party providers and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or delayed. You rely on such data entirely at your own risk and should always exercise independent judgement before making safety or navigation decisions based on platform information.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE NIGERIAN AND INTERNATIONAL LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PAPERWORKS FIRST REAL NIGERIA LIMITED, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL; OR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM OR ITS CONTENT.
WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE FULLY EXCLUDED, THE COMPANY’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO THE COMPANY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIVE THOUSAND NAIRA (₦5,000.00).
You agree to fully defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Paperworks First Real Nigeria Limited and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and licensors from and against any and all third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: your use of or access to the platform; any breach by you of these Terms or applicable law; your violation of any third-party right; any User Content you submit; or any dispute between you and another user.
These Terms are governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from written notice. If unresolved, it shall be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Lagos State, Nigeria, to whose exclusive jurisdiction both parties irrevocably submit.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the Effective Date, displaying a notice in the application, and/or emailing your registered address. Your continued use of MyLagosApp after changes are published constitutes irrevocable acceptance.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access without notice if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or unlawful conduct, or if your actions are harmful to the Company, other users, or third parties. You may request deletion of your account via our Remove Account page. Provisions that by their nature survive termination (including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) shall remain in full force.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed, without affecting the remaining provisions, which continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies we publish, constitute the entire agreement between you and Paperworks First Real Nigeria Limited regarding your use of the platform, superseding all prior agreements and understandings. No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right shall constitute a waiver of that right.
